CyberPatriot is the premiere national high school cyber defense competition created to inspire high school students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation’s future.

CyberPatriot is open to all high schools, Civil Air Patrol Units, JROTC Units, and accredited home school programs around the country.

The squadron's CyberPatriot team, Team Hercules, named after the C-130 "Hercules" aircraft stationed at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station, have been nationally-ranked 4 of the 6 seasons that they have participated in the competition.
