On 25 February 2017, our squadron took a trip down to Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH.  The purpose of the trip was twofold - to visit the National Museum of the United States Air Force and to shop for uniforms at Military Clothing Sales.  It was a huge success on both parts!  The 32 participating members enjoyed touring the museum and seeing all the aircraft used by the Air Force over the years, in addition to those used by other nations.  It was a treat to see both historic Civil Air Patrol aircraft back on display in their World War II markings.  As for uniform shopping, nearly every member was able to purchase a set of ABU's from either Clothing Sales or the Base Thrift Shop.  It was a great bargain.  After a long day, we stopped for dinner at the Polaris Fashion Mall in Columbus before finishing the trip home.  It was 19 hours of quality time spent as a unit.  Thank you to 2d Lt Heidi Holk and 2d Lt William Holk for organizing the trip!
